Drupal SEO

Drupal is really great, as far CMS and SEO is concerned. It has SEO friendly out of the box. Installing additional modules and themes is a no-brainer, community is great and many modules exist. Even Mozilla uses Drupal!

It is promoted as community building software, and comes defaultly installed as such, or as a weblog-like install, something to that extent. It takes a bit of simple tweaking to make it good for one-man-run standard content website. Yet the community features are still there hidden, just in case we might want to need them in the future.

Tweaking Drupal for SEO purposes

- enable clean URL’s
- enable path module
- install and enable nodewords module for meta information
- fix .htaccess with some shared hosts
